Vacancy: Festival Director, Didsbury Arts Festival (DAF), South Manchester

Paid: £9,000 fixed fee contract, from November 2021 (date TBA) to 30 September 2022.

Didsbury Arts Festival is seeking a Festival Director to deliver the DAF2022 community arts festival, taking place between 25 June and 3 July 2022. Established in 2009, this vibrant community-based arts festival is a cultural highlight in the local calendar.

You should be a self-motivated team leader, with experience of working in events management and delivery, curating creative arts programmes, event production and possess excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.

Previous experience working with community stakeholders and in arts events is essential. Previous experience managing a community arts festival, or similar event, is preferred.

Note: The DAF Board have secured funding and established the festival theme 'Voices' and high-level artistic direction. On appointment, the successful candidate will be expected to pick up the reigns from the departing Director and to hit the ground running launching an open-call and recruitment of the festival team.
