DAF seeks new Board members


Fancy being part of a thriving, community arts festival?

Didsbury Arts Festival has a number of Board vacancies to fill, including the role of treasurer. We would love to hear from people with the relevant skills and experience of working with community arts and schools or youth organisations, or with a fundraising background. Applicants from diverse and minority communities are encouraged to get in touch.

The treasurer's role will require someone with experience of managing the financial matters of a small community organisation. Accounting or bookkeeping experience is preferred.

The DAF Board is responsible for supporting the work of the festival director and the festival committee to ensure a successful event and secure the long-term future of DAF. We would like to hear from applicants, ideally before summer, so that they can be involved with planning our next festival to take place in 2023.

'We welcome interest from people of all backgrounds. A commitment to community and the arts is essential,' said Maria.

Since its launch in 2009, DAF (a biennial festival) has become a key, cultural event in South Manchester. The 2019 festival attracted an overall audience of around 10,000, with more than 500 artists taking part in over 100 events and exhibitions. The next Didsbury Arts Festival will take place from 25 June to 3 July, 2023.
