The collective behind the successful Flash Mob micro fiction writing competition and literary salon at Chorlton Arts Festival earlier this year are back as #flashtag. Expect short-short stories, special guests, and plenty of fun and games from this spoken word night with a difference.

We’ll be launching a brand-new anthology of flash fiction on the theme of love and lust, Quickies: Stories For Adults, with contributors reading their stories.

The collection includes pieces by novelist Emma Jane Unsworth, whose debut Hungry, The Stars & Everything has just hit the shelves to rave reviews, Bristol Prize-winner Valerie O’Riordan, Everything’s Fine author Socrates Adams, Chris Killen, author of The Bird Room, Salt New Voices poet Adrian Slatcher, Claire Massey, whose work appears in The Best British Short Stories 2011 and Nicholas Royle’s Murmurations (which launches at DAF), and Tania Hershman, writer of short story collection The White Road.

Headliner is flash fiction supremo David Gaffney, author of three critically acclaimed short story collections, Sawn-off Tales, Aromabingo and The Half-life Of Songs, plus the novel Never Never.
